Inserting custom HTML-Mail-Signatures on apple mail is a bit trickier than you thought. Before you start, make sure you already have a HTML-Signature ready to go.

Tutorial

  1. Enter the mail app and create a new empty signature
  2. In the finder open "~/Library/Mail" and choose the signature folder (e.g. V7)
  3. You gonna find a file or multiple files looking like a hash-values. One of these files is the signature you've created in step 1.
    • Check the content of the hash-like files for the signature title you gave your new signature
  4. When you found the file for the new signature, just copy & paste the HTML-Code but don't delete the existing lines of HTML because they are needed by the mail app to verify the signature.
  5. After you copied the HTML-Signature into the hash-looking file, just save the file.
  6. Now you should be able to select your HTML-signature in the mail app.
