A MAC Address is a identifier.
It identifies your clients NIC. NIC stands for Network Interface Card.
Every IP inside of a network, is also assigned to a MAC Address.
Any communication between clients in the network works with MAC addresses.
A Mac address has a different structure than an IP address. In contrast to the IP address, MAC addresses also have letters.
Since Mac addresses must stay unique, there should be many ways to divide them.
A Mac address has 12 bits, these are always divided into 2 bits each.
One bit consists of 16 possibilities, 1-9, A-F.
All possibilities listed:
"1, 2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7 ,8, 9, A, B, C ,D, E, F".
